Pika's Wine Reviews
Join me on an olfactory journey through some of my favorite wines !
Based on my expert sniffing notes and pawring suggestions, I rate each wine with 1-5 paws.
I only review wines that I have actually sniffed.
And of course, it's all sniffing, no sipping for me!
FEATURED REVIEWS:
Grgich Hills Zinfandel 2012, Estate
Sniffing notes:
Blackberries, with a hint of stick. Flavors are well integrated, yet complex, just like cats.
Pawring suggestions:
Pawrs well with freeze dried chicken treats, and a game of fetch.*
*Careful, if you start chasing your own tail, you've probably had too much.
Grgich Hills Selection Chardonnay, 2014
Sniffing notes:
Fresh lemon, butter, with hints of alfalfa. (But that may just be on my head)
Pawring suggestions:
Pawrs perfectly with brie cheese, best enjoyed at a beautifully set dining table.
Demetria Estate Rose, 2017
Sniffing notes:
Young, fresh, 100% organic, smells of roses and was awarded best of California in 2017. (A description of me, pretty much).
Pawring suggestions:
Pawrs wonderfully with a pink tutu, and fresh strawberries. An extra for being biodynamic!
Louis Roederer Cristal Brut, 2004
Sniffing notes:
Peaches, sparkles, unicorns, with hints of bully stick.
Pawring suggestions:
This Prestige Cuvée was first created for a Russian Tsar. As such, it is best enjoyed decadently…with a paw massage, or in a bathtub. A cute bow is optional.
